APPLICATION CONDITIONS

The films must follow the rules below:

Non-Brazilian Feature and Short Films: Only Brazilian premiere, screened publicly after April 1st 2024.

Brazilian feature films: Only Brazilian premiere, except for films qualified for the Mirada Paranaense section, which must have been publicly screened  after April 1st 2024.

Brazilian short films: Preferably Brazilian Premiere. For this category, films that have been screened in public premiere sessions (at festivals, showcases, etc.) in Brazil in 2024 will not be accepted.

We define Brazilian premiere as having no prior public screening (commercial, movie theater, tv, websites, festivals, exhibitions, online, etc.) in Brazil, except in cases of single screenings for mandatory counterpart purposes.

Non-premiere short and feature films may compose the non-competitive festival sections at the discretion of the Festival’s programming team.

All films must be submitted with subtitles in English or Portuguese when not spoken in Portuguese.

For application purposes, the work-in-progress version of the film will be accepted.
