In 'Shortcuts', seemingly disconnected texts about a state-of-being in Latin America are put in friction with filthy and broken videotape images. Together, they create a melancholic mosaic of colonization processes that seem to repeat themselves in a variety of ways. A curse from which one cannot easily escape.
