War games are common in childhoods where the warfare imaginary is culturally fostered. In this documentary, the imaginary of two brothers comes mainly from their father, a former Cuban combatant in Angola. The father’s memories, whose body is scarred by violence, become fabulations told and staged by his sons. The camera accompanies their improvisation insofar as the characters follow the presence of the camera, scouting through the family home, so precarious and poor that it effectively resembles a war scenario.
