Synopsis
The experience of immigration draws Elettra Bisogno and Hazem Alqaddi together, yet also reveals the stark differences in living conditions between an Italian woman and a Palestinian man in Belgium. Using the camera as a means to craft this encounter, the duo co-directs this documentary, providing an intimate and heartfelt portrayal of the intersection between their lives, while also serving as a poignant depiction of the personal and social challenges wrought by a cruel international policy. Elettra Bisogno, Hazem Alqaddi
Elettra Bisogno was born in Italy and grew up in various european cities. After studying graphic design, where she specializes in experimental printmaking, she moves to Brussels and instinctively turns to the moving image. Hazem Alqaddi is from Palestine, he graduates from the Unrwa Schools in Rafah and arrives in Belgium in 2018 wishful for a new life outside of a besieged Palestine.
