Synopsis
At a time when a pandemic is massacring the indigenous peoples of Brazil, under the auspices of a government longing for the dictatorship regime, it seems urgent to hear the voice of sanitary doctor Noel Nutels, who resurfaces here in his only remaining registered sound recording, speaking to Congress in the thick of the military regime. In contrast to the impressive audiovisual material, recorded during his missions to indigenous territories, his voice does not hide the innate aggressiveness of his discursive place. Here, Nutels is not the hero of a laudatory prose: he is a ghost conscious of his faults, denouncing the complicity of those who remain silent. (E. V)
