Synopsis
Working once again within a trans-futurist imagination, Clari Ribeiro’s cinema envisions the city of Rio de Janeiro in 2054, where it must confront a “Truth Order” by assembling a clan led by the transvestite Dahlia, the serpent Salacione, and several witches and warlocks who band together to form a neon tropical “Justice League” against the hunters of mystical beings. Drawing from the conventions of genre cinema (science fiction, horror), the film strives to transcend genre as identity (the future will be trans or it won’t be). Featuring a very special appearance by two mystical icons of Brazilian cinema: Helena Ignez and Zezé Motta. (C.A.)
This short-film belongs to PGM 2 and will be screened with “My Homeland”, “Caravan of Courage” and “Mamántula”
