Synopsis
“Pororoca is the collision of the waters of a rushing river with the waves of the sea.” Such, at least, is the common explanation for this natural phenomenon. But beneath the waters lies another story—a tale of love. It unfolds between a manatee, the son of the lord of freshwaters known as the Caboclo D’água, and a whale, the “darling” of the lord of saltwaters, Neptune. From this encounter emerges an inevitable yet forbidden attraction, constrained by the boundary between these waters. But love gives rise to new waters… and pororocas. (C.A.)
