Synopsis
Two sisters, Marina and Núbia, experience life in an industrial city on the outskirts of Belo Horizonte. Reflecting on their bodies and their jobs, they notice the disparities among Black workers, the city’s construction, and its declining accessibility. When Marina meets Maria, a resident of one of the city’s oldest buildings, the memory that “the mountain, one day, was once sea” unveils a darker dimension that the two must face together. (K.M.)
