Amidst a hard routine divided between his work as a fabric salesman and caring for his family, including his disabled adopted son, Nasir never stops dreaming of a more comfortable future, while writing love letters to his wife and declaiming his poetry. Only Nasir (played by Koumarane Valavane) is also a Muslim, living in a country increasingly dominated by a latent intolerance towards his religious minority. A self-taught artist, Karthick attentively films the rhythms of everyday life and the insidious ways through which social reality can stifle human existences. (E. V)
