Synopsis
Written by, directed by, and starring Renan Rovida, “Idade da Pedra” follows the wanderings of Third World, a homeless man adrift in a dreamlike journey through the streets of São Paulo. Fragments of past and present intertwine in this dance between memory, dream, and desires for insurrection, where the subjectivity of a person on the margins encourages critical reflection on a deeply contradictory Brazil. At the threshold between reality and imagination, the harshness of life and the beauty of affections walk hand in hand in a radical experience through the metropolis of concrete, waste, and people.
