Synopsis
In 1959, the purchase of a comb sparked three days of widespread conflict in downtown Curitiba. Nearly three decades later, Nivaldo Lopes, better known as “Palito”, along with other prominent figures from the so-called “Cinemateca generation”, decides to retell this peculiar episode. In a production as dynamic and defiant as the events it portrays, the film serves as both a reconstruction of a historical event and a snapshot of the social and cinematic reality of the city in the 1980s. As the film reaches its 40th anniversary, the festival presents a newly digitized copy of this important milestone in Curitiba’s film history. (C.M.)
