Synopsis

Lia is determined to fulfill a promise: finding Tekla, her long-lost niece. With the help of her young neighbor Achi, the retired teacher embarks from her homeland in Georgia to Istanbul. There, they soon realize they need the help of Evrim, a committed lawyer advocating for transgender rights, to locate Tekla amidst the city streets. Guided by the connections and poignant relationships among its characters in the bustling Turkish city, Swedish director Levan Akin shapes this tender drama, dedicated to the powerful performances of its cast.
