In “Nyo Vweta Nafta”, Ico Costa registers in 16mm film the fragments of the daily life of the inhabitants of Mozambique as he searches for Nafta. The Portuguese director transverses and concentrates on characters who sprout postcolonial reflections on money, inequalities, and desires in images pursuing the real and flirting with the performative.
