Acaiaca is a tree species, which according to an indigenous legend, was used as refuge for the only surviving couple of a river flood, and who then became responsible for repopulating the territory. Acaiaca is the name of the largest skyscraper in the city of Belo Horizonte, which honors the indigenous legend. The Brazilian film “Acaiaca”, by Leonardo Good God, tells the story of a scientist who stubbornly focuses on her research on sound waves driving her towards an encounter between past and present.
