“Have patience” can be a dangerous call, but few journeys prove to be as rewarding as the one taken across A Yangtze Landscape. The film rewards attention with rich black-and-white widescreen photography and an equally rich soundscape, the two of which work together to traverse seemingly the whole of China within the span of a few hours. An incredible survey of human faces and bodies is catalogued along the way, giving a universal sense of humanity.
