Cinema is a waking dream. The great comic director Zhang Lu (born in China, Korean by descent) pleasurably pegs this idea in his black-and-white roundelay featuring a young female Chinese-Korean barkeeper in Seoul who is courted by three clumsy men, all three of them played by filmmakers. Imaginations come alive as she invites them to share their dreams with her and reveal her own, as well as on trips that characters take to the Korean Film Archives.
